Organizational Culture Assessments

Global Compliance offers Organizational Culture Assessments through its consulting subsidiary Ethical Leadership Group, to define, measure, and understand your organization's culture and subcultures. Organizational culture is a system of shared values and norms that define appropriate attitudes and behaviors for its members. Culture plays an important part within organization, performing a number of functions including that of a control mechanism guiding and shaping attitudes and behaviors. Determining the attributes of your organization's culture and whether or not any dysfunction is apparent is a deep underlying principle in maintaining an effective ethics and compliance program.

Program Design 

Internal Analysis - We study your corporate history including folklore, stories, rituals, symbol, and language. We compare the rhetoric with actions to see what inequities exist. 

Interviews - We listen to the perspective of employees and gather information about employee perceptions. With years of interview experience, we ask the "right" questions, which generate key information to determine the framework of your organization's culture. We often hear what employees feel that cannot share with you. 

Surveys - We can host a web-based survey or administer it through the mail. Our survey database is robust and varied, with data from every industry. 

Focus Groups - In addition to traditional interviews and surveys, we conduct focus groups to fill in any gaps. We conduct focus groups through anonymous, live surveys using wireless keypads followed by qualitative discussion. This allows our experienced facilitators to instantly follow-up on the most interesting discussion points. 

Benchmarking - Once we gather the data regarding your organization, it is imperative to have a comparison so you know where you are and where you want to go. We have accumulated an extensive database of proprietary benchmarking data and utilize this along with additional qualitative and quantitative industry research to create a complete comparison. 

The Output 

We develop in-depth reports identifying the multiple subcultures within your organization. We provide charts and tables dissecting the survey and focus group data against our benchmarks. We include analysis of how your culture can be relied on to support ethics and compliance as well as where there are obstacles undermining your efforts. Our reports conclude with practical recommendations for improving and changing your culture so that it aligns with the ethical expectations you have for your employees.
