Different kinds of employees need different kinds of training, and it is important to segment them to best target their needs. Different considerations must be made depending on the employee's role and goals. With managers and supervisors, these employees deal with other employees on a daily basis and training is usually geared toward this part of ethics and compliance.

Supervisors

Because supervisors deal directly with employees on a daily basis, it is especially important for them to understand what acceptable behavior is, and what it is not. Other types of professionals that require specific training within this segment include compliance officers, HR, and in-house counsel:

Similar to those at the board and executive level, employees responsible for building a culture of ethics and monitoring behavior must be understand the importance of their role. They also should be taught practical skills to enable them to do their jobs. For example, they should be trained on how to conduct an internal investigation, as well as on best practices and changes to the legal and regulatory environment.
