Ethical Leadership Training
Delivery Option: Online & In-Person
A culture of ethics starts from the top down. Organizations should educate their managers and supervisors to understand, model, and enforce ethical behavior in the workplace and in work-related settings.
Why Train on Ethical Leadership?
Sometimes the right thing to do is obvious. But often, competing interests require you to think hard about what to do and how to do it in an ethical manner. Managers and supervisors should lead the way by learning and practicing the best actions to take in accordance with organization policies and expectations.
What Does this Course Cover?
This course teaches employees how to understand their special responsibilities as supervisors and managers for identifying, preventing, and addressing ethical concerns.
Employees will learn practical skills to aid them in identifying potential violations and promoting an ethical culture in the workplace. In particular, the course teaches employees how to:
- Serve as role models by understanding organization policies and acting ethically at work
- Monitor the workplace for and prevent ethical violations
- Identify, address and/or report, as appropriate, any potential ethical violations, focusing on the special issues that supervisors may face
How is the Course Information Delivered?
Through a series of scenarios and interactive exercises, employees learn how to identify and respond to unethical behavior. Employees are asked to answer multiple choice questions where they consider the possible outcomes and implications of hypothetical situations. They are also required to correctly answer three questions in a ‘Quiz Show’ exercise in order to complete the course. The course concludes with customized information about how to get assistance and report concerns within your organization.
