This online diversity training course challenges employees to confront and embrace differences in their workplace.
Covering the Six Fundamental Principles of Diversity, employees will learn about:
• Establishing fair and respectful working relationships with co-workers
• Developing a greater awareness regarding communications with co-workers
• Acquiring skills to manage inter-personal conflict
• Assuming individual responsibility for a positive and considerate work environment
• Reporting behaviors and actions that are counterproductive
• Reporting behaviors and actions that violate company policies as well as anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws
How is the Diversity Training Course Information Delivered?
Our online diversity training offers a series of workplace scenarios and interactive exercises that allow employees to gain practical skills for working with co-workers who have diverse backgrounds and beliefs in order to create a more inclusive, effective work environment. In the Course Introduction, employees complete an exercise where they are asked to match characteristics to photographs of people. The exercise sets the stage by demonstrating how there is a tendency to judge others based on appearance. These stereotypes can impact employee interaction.
Later in the “You Make the Call” segment of the Diversity Training course, employees are faced with diversity dilemmas where they must consider gray areas based on the Six Fundamental Principles. Employees must decide if personal characteristics are relevant to each business scenario.
