Pre-Shipment Instructions (PSI)
Global Compliance also provides Pre-Shipment Inspections (PSI), which are often required—depending on the country—to verify that the goods being shipped are of the quality, quantity and specifications expected by the international recipient of those goods. PSIs help minimize post-delivery disputes between the buyer and seller, saving precious time, money and other resources.
PSIs also ensure that outbound goods are classified correctly, helping avoid the loss of customs revenue. This helps address the complex and wide ranging variations in customs fees for different products--for example, a customs office in a particular country might tax coffee at a different rate than paper.
