Cookies

This website often requires the use of encrypted or non-encrypted cookies.  Cookies are data that a web server transfers to an individual's computer for recordkeeping purposes. Pixel Tags.

In your use of the website may collect personal and non-Personal Data through the use so-called "pixel tags", "web beacons", "clear GIFs" or similar means (collectively, "Pixel Tags") to compile aggregate statistics about website usage and response rates. Pixel Tags allow Global Compliance to count users who have visited certain pages of the website and to help determine the effectiveness of promotional or advertising campaigns. When used in HTML-formatted email messages, Pixel Tags can tell the sender whether and when the email has been opened.

Browser and Referrer Information

Global Compliance may also track information provided to us by your browser, including the website you came from (known as the referring URL) and other environmental variables.  “Environmental variables” include, among other things, the time you accessed this website, the type of web browsers and operating system or platform you used and the pages you visit while at this website.  We do not track IP addresses.

Information Provided By You

We may collect Personal Data about you, such as your name, postal address, telephone and mobile numbers, e-mail address, when you provide it to us while on this website, such as when you request that we contact you concerning our services, purchase online training courses, sign up for a webinar or download an archived webinar, sign up for an in-person seminar, sign up for a newsletter, enter a contest or participate in a survey or otherwise interact with this website. In requesting that we contact you or in registering for services, you will be asked to provide identifying information.  On the registration screen, we clearly label which information is required for registration and which information is optional and may be given at your discretion.

This Policy also applies to information you may provide to Global Compliance by means other than this website.  It governs Personal Data provided to Global Compliance by telephone, email, facsimile, in-person or other means, including Personal Data concerning third parties.

Website Purchases

Global Compliance uses Authorize.net Corporation (“Authorize.net”), a third party e-commerce service provider, to process credit card payments for purchases of online course uses from the MarketSite.  Authorize.net, is a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, with corporate headquarters in San Francisco, California, USA.  When you purchase course uses from the MarketSite, a pop-up window appears for processing of your transaction.  All information submitted to the MarketSite platform is submitted directly to Authorize.net and is processed by Authorize.net’s platform, including all financial and other Personal Data related to the transaction.  Financial information is not collected by or later provided to Global Compliance.  Any financial and Personal Data you provide in connection with the purchase of online course uses is collected and processed by Authorize.net and with respect to any such transaction, Authorize.net’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy shall control.

Global Compliance’s Use of Your Information

Business Purposes

We may use both passively collected information and the Personal Data you provide to us through the website for all legal purposes, which may include, but are not limited to, responding to your requests, processing your requested transactions, for administrative purposes such as conducting webinars and contests, to track which parts of this website are of interest to you and occasionally contacting you by telephone (if you have provided that information) or sending you advertising and/or promotional material that we believe may be of interest to you (if you have provided your email address our mailing address). 

We may also use Personal Data provided by you, collected by cookies, Pixel Tags and web server for internal business purposes, such as optimizing website experiences and analyzing and managing our business.

Business Transfers
 

If Global Compliance sells all or part of its stock or assets or merges with another company, it may include the above-described information, including Personal Data among the assets transferred to the acquiring or surviving company.  In any such instance, Global Compliance will require the acquiring or surviving company to comply with the terms of this Policy.

Use of Third Parties

AlertLine.com Privacy Policy

This confidential online reporting website (“Website”) is hosted by Global Compliance Services, Inc., a company headquartered in the United States (“Global Compliance”) on behalf of its client, the company identified on the landing page of each reporting website (“Company”).  Global Compliance also operates the Company’s associated confidential telephone reporting service (“Telephone Hotline”).  This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to Global Compliance’s collection, use and storage of information collected by Global Compliance through the Website and the Telephone Hotline (collectively, the “Hotline Program”) on Company’s behalf.

The Hotline Program is made available by the Company to allow employees, and in some instances, related third parties, to report legal and ethical issues related to the business operations of the Company.  Your use of the Hotline Program is subject to applicable laws and regulations governing the disclosure and use of personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”).  Your intentional, bad-faith, misuse of the Reporting Program may result in civil or criminal liability.

Before using the Hotline Program, please read this Policy thoroughly as it governs your use of the Hotline Program, including, without limitation, this Website.  If you do not agree to the terms and conditions below, you should not use the Hotline Program and may report your concerns through alternative communication channels provided for you by the Company.  If you are comfortable doing so, before using the Reporting Program, you are encouraged to speak first with your supervisor or a human resources representative at the Company.

Information Collected

The purpose of the Hotline Program is to convey the following information to the Company:  your name and contact details, any question or issues that you may have, the name and title of all individuals you may be reporting, and a description of any questionable conduct, including all relevant details.

The information you supply about yourself, your colleagues, or any aspect of the Company’s operations may result in decisions that affect others.  We therefore ask you to provide only information that, to the best of your knowledge, is correct.  You will not be sanctioned for submitting information in good faith.  However, if you knowingly provide false or misleading information, it may result in disciplinary action and, in some instances, civil and/or criminal liability.

The information you submit will be treated confidentially.  We encourage you to identify yourself so that the Company can follow up with questions it might have and the Company can better protect you against any retaliation for your use of the Hotline Program.   Anonymous reports are discouraged and should only be used due to exceptional circumstances.  However, if necessary, with special exceptions, you may submit an issue or concern to the Hotline Program without identifying yourself.  Please note that you are also not obliged to provide the names or Personal Data of co-workers.

Except for the information provided by reporters to the Hotline Program, Global Compliance collects no other identifying information concerning reporters, including, without limitation, ISP addresses, browser information or any other similar types of information.  The Website does not use cookies.

Special Exceptions to Anonymous Reporting 

Due to local laws, you will be required to identify yourself if you are (i) reporting from Spain or Portugal or (ii) reporting any Personal Data (including the name or title) of an individual who resides in Spain or Portugal.  In addition, if you do not identify yourself, the Company may be unable to investigate your reported allegations concerning an individual or individuals residing in Finland, The Netherlands, France or Switzerland.

Global Compliance’s Processing and Use of the Information

Following completion of a call to the Telephone Hotline or submission of a report to this Website, Global Compliance will prepare a report containing the information provided during the telephone call or disclosed in the website report, as applicable.  Unless otherwise instructed by the Company, Global Compliance emails an encrypted link to designated individuals within the Company, indicating that a report has been submitted to the Company’s database account which is hosted by Global Compliance on its servers located in the United States.

Following submission of a report, the Company may further process the information in the report, including Personal Data.  Please refer to the Company’s website or request a copy of the Company’s Privacy Policy from the Chief Privacy Officer, General Counsel or Human Resources Department.  Once reported information has been submitted or otherwise made available to the Company, the Company’s Privacy Policy and/or Code of Conduct control any further use, processing and storage of the reported information.  Global Compliance does not determine any further transfer of the disclosed information outside of the United States, nor does Global Compliance control when Personal Data is deleted from reports.

Upon Company’s specific request, Global Compliance may assist Company with technical details concerning maintenance of reported information in the Company’s database account or Global Compliance’s server.  In such an instance, Personal Data may be accessed by Global Compliance personnel only for the purpose of providing support services to the Company.

Terms Specific to Reports Concerning Individuals Residing in the European Union
