Code of Conduct Review

The Code of Conduct represents an official ‘top down’ set of standards for ethical and compliant behavior and practices.  When employees read your organization’s Code of Conduct—and the commitment you are demonstrating by developing and publishing it—they will understand what is expected of them and have the confidence in knowing their peers, superiors and subordinates are being held to those same standards.

Global Compliance also offers a Model Code of Conduct training course to help you train and educate your employees.

The most important document in your ethics and compliance program

A well-written, effective Code of Conduct captures the spirit of the organization and the values shared by all levels of employees.  It defines "who" the organization is and how it conducts business with stakeholders, as well as provides answers to specific questions and offers real-life examples.

However, some employees don't believe their leaders practice what they say in the Code of Conduct.  In other cases, a Code of Conduct is poorly written and hard to understand or appears to be designed to protect the company only.

That’s where Global Compliance’s industry-leading expertise comes in.

Assessing, developing and promoting your code of conduct

The internationally-recognized expert advisors at Global Compliance have unmatched experience in the assessment and development of Codes of Conduct that add organizational value because they are consistent with the clients’ values and executed in a way that employees can believe and understand.

A Code of Conduct Review includes:

  • Review and assessment of an existing Code to determine adequacy
  • Modification and updating of an existing Code to ensure effectiveness and comprehensiveness for all levels of employees and stakeholders
  • Development of a new Code to define organizational values, policies and expected behavior.
  • Production, distribution and coordinated launch of the Code to provide information to employees, vendors, agents, the Board of Directors and other stakeholders
  • Ongoing awareness and education campaigns to drive understanding and retention and, ultimately, to impact behavior
  • Certification of receipt, understanding and intent to comply with the Code by all employees and relevant stakeholders
  • Disclosure of non-compliance with Code to enable documentation and management review of exceptions

Code of Conduct Distribution, Awareness and Certification

Share your Code of Conduct with employees. Measure its effectiveness.

Once your Code of Conduct is developed, Global Compliance offers a range of services to distribute the Code to your employees and other key stakeholders—as well as to verify its effectiveness.

Global Compliance Certification Programs include supporting the distribution of your Code of Conduct, employee handbook and other policies; communicating their importance and key details via customized campaigns; and the measurement of employees’ understanding of the information.  Our Certification Program requires each employee to attest to receiving and reading these documents and to disclose whether they know of any possible violations of law or policies.

Services include:

  • Development of complementary materials helps to introduce your Code with consistent messaging and emphasis along with sufficient exposure
  • Multiple distribution methods enable worldwide employees and stakeholders to simultaneously receive a copy of your Code
  • Validation of receipt, review and comprehension of your Code protects your organization and lessens the chance of business misconduct
